INTRO
Hello!
After reading the recent "Development Movement" thread, I have come to notice that it focuses on a lot on revamping a few things. This is great! However, there was nothing addressing something I feel is in need of a desperate revamp: junk items.
CURRENTLY
At the moment, there are three main things that one can do about "junk items" (regualr mystery box rewards, crystal chest rewards, penguin drops, etc.).
1) Many items are able to be sold to the soul well at ::soulroom.
2) Many items are able to be sold to the Black Market Dealer.
3) A player may ::empty items.
CURRENT ISSUES
*There are 2 separate places new players are directed to try and sell items.
*Many items are not able to be sold to either shop and collect dust in a player's bank. These items are typically outclassed and will not be able to be sold in the player owned market.
SUGGESTION
1) Combine the soul well and the Black Market Dealer. Personally, the soul well feels more unique and would make more sense for DreamScape. This would allow less confusion for new players looking to get rid of items and start making money. It would also allow the development team to only focus on adding items ability to be sold to one object/NPC.
2) Add more items to the soul well's collection ability. An exhaustive list could be created if the idea garners attention, but a short example would be every item from the crystal chest, mystery boxes, infinity chest, penguin drops, and other new player monsters. Side note: I've noticed some items like Statius can be sold, but Vesta cannot.
CLOSING
In the future, the well could have more items added to it as new monsters are added to the game. It would benefit newer players and older players by allowing for junk items to be sold somewhere. This would add more currency to the game, but these items could have a smaller price to limit the amount let in.
