Hey guys, I was thinking, I often forget to vote for one reason or another... Just some thoughts below :] What's the current issue? Personally I find myself forgetting to vote for a few reasons, either I don't see the reminder or its not on my priority list because of the rewards on offer. What's your suggested way of fixing it? I would say that maybe a good idea could be one of the boxes popping up on screen like when staff do ::deals events so that everyone can see it and it doesn't get lost in the chatbox with yells etc. Also to keep vote books desireable for people of all tiers, not just new players.. it might be worth offering either a points system (Although this may require more work) or perhaps trading the books for a few xp lamps or something people may still have use for even at higher levels? Maybe 5 books gets 1 scavenger point or something to keep the development time down? How will this benefit player/server? More votes = More traffic and more new players to the game which will in turn lead to more donations and profits to enable investment into the future of the server and development of new items etc.. For the players it will keep voting relevant and allow them to get items that could still be of use at higher tiers rather than getting junk to sit in the bank or giveaway ? How could this be expanded in future? If necessary just tweaking the rewards to stay relevant, if a new point shop comes out for example, allow the books to be traded for points there etc. What negative effect could this have? (Think eco, Item balances, Overpowered) I mean the thing with the scavenger points may introduce more items into the game but this would be fore the developers and staff to think about and i mean if a book is worth like 0.1 scavenger point for example, to get a recolour ticket at 750 points you'd need to votes 7500 times or buy the books so shouldn't be too bad in that regard if the point values were balanced..
