Grotesque Guardians

Grotesque Guardians are two bosses that are fought simultaneously, being Dusk and Dawn. They both have 15M HP each with a Damage Cap of 50k. Dawn is only vulnerable to Range and Mage, while Dusk is only vulnerable to Melee.

To access the Grotesque Guardians, you must pay the 1250 Slayer Points to unlock them, and you must be at least 3rd Slayer Prestige.

How to Get There

To get to Grotesque Guardians, open the teleport interface (Ctrl+x) and search for 'Grotesque Guardians'. Upon teleporting, you will be given two options; Normal Mode (Slayer Prestige 3) and Challenge Mode (Slayer Prestige 5).

Fight Overview

Once you arrive in the arena, move North to the large bell.

Clicking the bell will ring it, beginning the boss fight against the Grotesque Guardians. It is recommended to start with Mage/Range since Dawn is the only bosses you can attack at the beginning.
You should also use any damage cards or drop rate boosters you may need.

The Fight[edit | edit source]

Once the fight has begun, immediately begin attacking Dawn to the East of the arena using Magic/Ranged.

Dawn infight.png

After dealing 7.5m damage (Half health), Dawn will disappear temporarily and you will now be allowed to damage Dusk using Melee.

Dusk infight.png

After dealing 7.5m damage (Half health), Dawn will reappear for the second half of the fight. Both Dusk and Dawn will be briefly invincible.

After reappearing, Dusk and Dawn will begin to 'power up', spawning several orange and purple pools around the arena that deal damage. At least one pool will always spawn beneath any players within the fight.

GG Second Phase.png

To effectively deal with this phase, take a few steps off of any pools and swap back to Range/Mage as you will need to damage Dawn again.

Once you have your Mage/Range gear on and the 'pool phase' has ended, begin attacking Dawn until it is killed.

When Dawn is killed, Dusk will transform into a new form. Swap back to Melee for the final phase.

Dusk Final.png

In this form, Dusk is capable of teleporting players into a ring of purple fire.

Dusk ability.png

If you don't quickly move from within the ring, you will take a massive hit, and Dusk will be healed for an equivalent amount.

Simply step out of the ring and continue damaging Dusk. Remain aware as Dusk can perform this ability several times in a fight.

Once Dusk has been defeated for the final time, you have completed the Grotesque Guardians boss fight and are rewarded.
